Giroud Scores Opener To Become Frances All Time Mens Goalscorer

France Beats Poland 3-1 to Reach World Cup Quarter-finals

Giroud Scores Opener to Become France's All-Time Men's Goalscorer

Mbappe Nets Brace as Les Bleus Advance

Thanks for joining us tonight as Olivier Giroud and Kylian Mbappe fired France to a 3-1 win over Poland and into the quarter-finals. Giroud's first-half header made him France's all-time men's goalscorer, while Mbappe struck twice in the second half to seal the victory.

Poland started brightly and had the better of the early chances, but France gradually took control of the game. Giroud's goal came from a cross by Mbappe, and the Chelsea striker now has 52 goals for his country, one more than Thierry Henry.

Mbappe doubled France's lead in the 74th minute with a fine solo effort, before adding another in the 90th minute to secure the win. Poland pulled one back through Robert Lewandowski in the 90th minute, but it was too little, too late.

France will now face England in the quarter-finals on Saturday, while Poland's World Cup journey comes to an end.

Conclusion: France put in a dominant performance to beat Poland and reach the quarter-finals of the World Cup. Giroud and Mbappe were both on target, and Les Bleus will now be confident of going all the way in Qatar.
